Lindsey didn't do anything to hinder the case, but she was distracted. She showed up hungover and not feeling well which is why after the interrogation Trudy told her she should go home. Let's not forget that Hank has known Lindsey since she was 15 and would know the signs of her quietly spiraling out of control. It also doesn't help that her mom is back in the picture. When the guys act to aggressively to people they question they get removed from the room but Lindsey outranks Adam so he couldn't really say anything to rain her in, he could only try to steer the conversation back to being calm and less acquisitor.
