Regarding the aspect ratio: Back in the days TV shows would run in 4:3 mode (because of TVs back then) and that's how the creator intended it to be seen, even though it was filmed wider. Aside from crew and equipment showing in the areas that were supposed to be invisible, it's also some gags that are revealed to soon. The "in case of emergency don't use elevator" sign wasn't supposed to be visible until this last shot that deliberately showed it, but now it's visible the entire time Forrest and Riley are in the shot.
