You asked about Matt's crazy/hazy/hallucinogenic scene. In the book, the Dark One is known as the father of lies amongst other titles. In the show, Ishy assumed that title. This was another attempt by Ishy to coerce the Dragon Reborn to join the Dark. However, there also were some truths to what was shown (easter eggs for readers). I won't say what parts were real. You'll just have to discover in upcoming seasons.
