Justin was a level 5 graduated his dads class and went into independent study Alex didn’t she and max were both level 3 and didn’t move onto independent study since Justin graduated he’s qualified to tutor the wiz tech students and Alex since she’s still a student and never moved on

Justin was always more studious than Alex and constantly had to help Alex out of situations she put herself in because she wasn't great at magic. Alex stumbled her way into a Level 3 and knowing that she was at the same level as Max and has always struggled with learning the "right" way to do magic, it makes sense to go back and learn it this way. Justin is doing this as extra credit. Also, getting rid of Selena Gomez would make even less sense story-wise. I know that you're not a fan of Alex right now, but they simply would not get rid of their biggest star at this moment in the show lol

2023-12-04 17:09:13 +0000 UTCi adore bailee madison, who plays maxine, and i always loved this plotline personally. It was an interesting story and she plays him well. And idk if its a spoiler, but i just wanna give you hope; Jake does come back to play Max lol. It's only for a couple episodes.

2023-11-16 08:56:27 +0000 UTCWhy doesn’t it make sense that Alex is in Justin’s class? Makes perfect sense to me He already knows the material it’s just extra credit for him. For her she’s having trouble in her studies and needs the practice. She was taking her studies seriously here so I feel it’s not all bad. In the podcast they explained that Jake who plays max wanted To have the typical highschool experience so they allowed him to do that and attend a regular school. Which I think is great of them they were all really supportive of each other.

2023-11-15 20:57:34 +0000 UTCAlso this is just my interpretation of the shows logic, Justin teaching a class and Alex being in a class is supposed to get them back in the wizard competition, now before they were both brought down to level 1 they were at different levels. So in my head two things could happen; a) they go back to the levels they were previously Justin level 5 and Alex level 3. B) Or they are just worth different things and we don’t know the level they would get to. I don’t think that they would both go to the same level afterwards
