Addison is the WORST if she was a male would u feel the same way. She cheated on her husband the man she so call loves with his BEST FRIEND she’s the WORST. It’s our society that tells us it’s okay to feel sorry Addison even though she is the on who cheated with his best friend. I felt the same way in the moment of watching the show the first time the episode aired but than I thought after it aired why should we like Addison she’s a horrible person she chose to sleep with his best friend someone she knows she emotionally cheated that’s worse

I find Derek so toxic and Meredith gets irritating so they were never the it couple of the show for me - honestly I almost feel like fast forwarding their scenes sometimes. Love Addison though just don’t like her with Derek

2023-12-08 04:11:04 +0000 UTCexactly!! he never wanted both at the same time, never wanted to "play" them against each other. he just didn't know what to do. i'm sure he was 100% done with addie when he left, never wanted to see her again. it sounds like the marriage was over well before that moment, and that just solidified it for him. he has a one night stand, ends up falling for her. then here comes addie into his life again and she's just so good. and i'm sure he can sit and remember the times where they were very good together. and thus he felt in a rock and a hard place. what he thought he was finished with, he started to question. but it was never about him selfishly wanting both women at the same time. i get super protective over meredith because while they're some characters in certain shows i get "that bitch eating crackers" with, it feels like meredith can't do much without it being a problem. she's the shows narrator. she narrates. it's a problem. she walks somewhere. it's a problem. she asks a question. it's a problem. it's like...she can't do anything lol but i am so glad we got to see ellen's acting chops this episode. maybe that'll help her be more connectable to him going forward. because, like it or not, she IS the main character so she's going to be the feature aspect of the show.

2023-11-30 22:57:26 +0000 UTCthis is sooo interesting to me, lowkey. like growing up watching the show when it aired, derek and meredith were the IT(TM) couple. the radio DJs on the morning shows would discuss what der&mer had been up to in the night prior's episode. everyone at school was all "did you see grey's last night!!" and going on and on about "mcdreamy" so seeing someone watch it and be so put off by them is interesting to me, as well as reading the comments. i def. get annoyed by their stories sometimes too but...they were the it ship at the time. the cory and topanga so to speak. also idk how if they'd wrote her saving the patient would make you hate her even more. sometimes it feels you can be a bit "that bitch eating crackers" with meredith which i absolutely get because there's characters i certainly feel that way about too in some shows, but as someone who feels so protective of meredith it gets a bit hard lol but to each their own!

2023-11-30 22:53:20 +0000 UTCit's wild how different my opinion of meredith is watching this now as an adult vs when i first watched it years ago as a teenager. i used to like meredith but now i find her character extremely annoying and i find her relationship with derek insufferable lol.

He was with Addison, he ran away he got with Meredith, then Addison followed him across the country. He is a dumbass but not awful. The divorce thing as well, I definitely understand him, it's so hard to cut someone completely out of your life, someone whom you gave 12 years of your life. He was paralysed by indecision so maybe that's why you had that impression that he was trying to stay with both. But now he decided. PS - I do enjoy your rants about Meredith and Derek though :D But sometime you definitely go too far.
