I don't think Melinda lost her gift. It's definitely to do with whatever was "sucking" the ghosts away, which is why her mum stopped seeing/hearing them too. I'm pumped for the next 2 episodes. It's a 2 parter finale BTW.

2024-04-11 15:28:36 +0000 UTCI really don't know why she lost her gift, but because it was a head injury it probably just had her blocked for a while. And now that I'm thinking about it the part of the show where Caitlyn told the story of her boyfriend dying, she said "there's a part of the heart that if you hit it hard enough the heart stops beating" so maybe it was like that for Melinda, she hit her head pretty hard and maybe the location of it is probably why she lost her gift for a week.
