this is how i felt. i just never connected with her and it felt like the show never knew what to do with her. they tried to make her so empathetic to others but instead of this warm person she always just came across kind of cold to me? i empathize with every other character on the show to some extent but with izzie it's always difficult. it doesn't help that her decisions always make me kind of roll my eyes at her. she's a grown adult who has gone through college and med school while supporting herself. but her lack of maturity doesn't align with the rest of her if that makes sense.

2024-05-03 19:22:43 +0000 UTCyeah this show is definitely more of a soap. think of the bonkers/unrealistic i things that happen sometimes in one tree hill. the show is a medical drama, so it's gong to go off the rails from how things would be in real life. it doesn't get too soapy. no one's dead evil twin shows up lmao but shonda's shows are more for fun entertainment. take HYGAWM or scandal for example. in real life it'd be a whole other story. but because it's a fictional show it's enjoyment to escape into the wildness of it all.
