I get Olivia's point of view but I don't think she gets Peter's. And in a way it's his fault because he hasn't explain his side properly. He has been in love with her from the moment he met her. And he has been patiently waiting for her to feel the same way. And finally the day came, the man has been on cloud nine and any difference he noticed he was bound to ignore them. He should just tell her and let her know he would wait forever if that's what it takes because no one but her makes sense for him.
