He never officially started the show. At the time he would do random shows that people would vote for on twitch, or on the patreon post for that live stream at the time. Someone in the reaction request tiers would have to request it to get more episodes, for the foreseeable future at least.

2024-02-22 00:25:15 +0000 UTCyeah dan is :/ and you can be an awful person while still doing something groundbreaking and historic. the man's creativity did good, not the man himself that's how i kind of separate things. he had a very amazing creative eye when it came to kids content that wasn't done before. the landmark things he did for kids entertainment bear his fingerprints all over it but the man himself...yeah. i think it's important to not necessarily try to completely erase him because to me it feels like too little too late and an easy way out. i think that does a disservice when instead it's better to acknowledge yes this man is the reason for kids content being what it was while also recognizing that he wasn't a good person behind the scenes. i thibk trying to erase him entirely seems like trying to wash their hands of him and not really acknowledging the company's own part in things. like y'all are responsible too, for giving this man and others continued platforms. trying to wash your hands of it 15+ years after the fact feels cheap.

2024-02-21 09:13:08 +0000 UTCDan Schneider was a writer on pretty much every episode, and was the sole writer of some of your favourite episodes so far. His list of faults is long, and he is creepy. But he was reasonably talented at the type of shows he wrote for the most part. And he both created the show, and his production company produced the show. Nickelodeon don't own it in a way they could do anything like take his name off of it, they own the right to show it. I do wonder if he would care if they asked though, he got paid and it's not like having his name prominent really matters for him anymore.
