My mum whooped me ONCE my whole life. Used a rattan cane and everything. To this day, I'm convinced she was possessed that day. Not a fan of corporal punishment in any form but Joey was right in grounding DJ. Maybe he was a bit harsh with the tournament but skipping out on school the very next day would have sealed the deal. She wasn't even sorry about it but maybe at 12/13 it's not something she considered until Joey told her how worried he was. Loved all the baby Michelle talk - THIS IS THE MUFFLES! EPISODE!!!!! - and Stephanie being sassy.

2024-08-07 04:44:22 +0000 UTCI think the age is a big factor also. DJ is like 12/13,if she got a ride and was going to be late why did the other parent not call? If she walked home at 13 and was an HOUR late with no contact, you better believe I would be freaking out.

I wouldn't have not let DJ go to the tournament, I would have said she's grounded before and after for like a week or two. "This some white people stuff" 😂 As an African American my family and I used to have family meetings, when we all needed to discuss something but it was 10+ years ago. Me personally, I think all families should have them.
