I agree you went into this expecting a big end of the world battle and because you didn't get it your gonna have a tantrum sometimes the best endings are ones you don't see coming and while this season may have been a bit hit and miss it served it's purpose in setting us up for the future giving us a fresh start with the next generation this entire show was about one thing klauses redemption and he achieved it now it's up to hope to carry on his name and legacy. Marcel giving up the city isn't out of character it's him finally choosing happiness with the women he loves over his list for power and his elneed to prove he could do ilrin new Orleans better than Klaus. And your beef with hope is just ridiculous she's a 15 yeat old kid if course she's gonna make mistakes and she's meant to be OP she's the Tribrid all 3 supernatural species in one person her potential is limitless.

2024-06-04 01:09:36 +0000 UTCI feel like as said above Elijah purpose in life was to be there for his brother and if we are thinking realistically how would Elijah survive if he had stayed alive after Klaus and Hayley are both gone. I also feel like the purpose of still letting Klaus die was to give redemption and set the scene for the point of Legacies and Hopes character in the show. Its a tv show and sometimes when you take them literal you set your self up for failure or disappointment so you have to accept it for what it is

I was literally sitting there going If Steven, with a confused look after full-on conversing with the twitch-chat for like 30% of the Series Finale episode says, "this is weird" ONE MORE TIME. Man... when he tunes out of an ep or dislikes an arch/season the ripple effects of that affect so much & he can be so off the mark with what the show is tryna portray vs how he understands it. Like dude Elijah is Only choosing to die because his whole purpose for over 1000 years was to be a watcher/redeemer of Klaus, He was his confidant, His #2, His right-hand man. And Klaus was never IN A MILLION YEARS going to allow Elijah die in his stead for 2 reasons. First obviously it is his brother and will not be a willing participant in getting his brother killed & second he sees it as his responsibility to bear the saving of his daughter from the evil magic. So essentially, Klaus & Elijah were at an impasse. I mean That is literally what most of the episode was trying to Convey to the audience. Elijah's voluntary death was the best & only outcome. Also, there are 4 other capable individuals who can take care of Hope so that point didn't make sense to me.

2024-06-03 16:09:08 +0000 UTCpersonally i try not to think too logically when watching tv shows. and i mean elijah’s not gonna die and leave klaus alone like his whole purpose was to take care of klaus basically so if he dies it defeats the purpose of his entire character imo. i love this ending and it was done so much better than the vampire diaries. the vampire diaries was a mess between nina’s wig and her and ian not getting along and ian being petty asf w the kiss scene. they killed stefan for no reason as well. it’s just to wrap up the show and the whole vampire diaries universe. rarely do these shows make sense they always fuck shit up idk. even w the oc u loved that show so much but that ending while i loved it it was also ass. the entire last season was a mess. like ofc klaus and elijah would die they were the main characters in the originals and also maybe both the actors wanted their characters to die so they didn’t have to come back. lots of actors do that. maybe you just need a break from watching these shows tbh. even with degrassi i struggle to see ur issues with these shows 90% of the time. and to add to this the reason klaus and caroline didnt get together was bc the show runner didnt want them to overshadow elena and damon. the whole fan base wanted it and i mean i guess the show runner somewhat gave everybody that but yeah it was simply the show runner being petty bc they were also super popular
