I agree with you at end, each time one or the other wants to give it a try, something comes up. One or the other changes their mind, tells the other to go pursue something. Or they always seem to fight. Always some reason they aren’t right each time. And yea, like you say they hadn’t spoken for months, then he shows up for birthday. He had no reason to think that’d happen and to break up with his girlfriend he had in California before he flew there. Dawson did basically cheat on that girlfriend so it wasn’t right. Just cause he’d been wanting that forever doesn’t make it right to just do that to whoever he was seeing. We’ll have to see where this goes story wise.
