Owen Dennis has implied that he's been prevented from putting LGBTQIA+ rep in at least one of his shows. I don't know if he was referencing Infinity Train or one of his other projects, but a lot of fans see Ryan and Min as more than friends. You picked up on it instantly. So I'm pretty sure the intention was them as a couple, but the corporate entity would not allow. At least this series gave us Lake. I forget where I'd seen it, but I love the headcanon that other passengers are brought together by the music of Chicken Choice Judy. They get to form their own little support group.
