Academy Is Approaching!
Added 2021-11-20 23:01:31 +0000 UTCIt may be a month or two -- (really depends on how well I can improve the work flow this month and next), but Bai Huan's entry into the Golden Lotus Academy is around the corner.
With that in mind, I have a decision to make. The project currently does not generate enough support to pay for original content to be made / added into the project. (For example, proper eastern fantasy outfits).
I have been kicking the idea around of having Bai Huan and the others adhere to a "dress code" for the Golden Lotus once they begin. This would, essentially put them in outfits that resemble this:
I actually do *not* want to do this. I want to keep the game as close to this (see image below) as possible:
And so on, thus I have a choice to make and I'd like player input.
I could use the first method and occasionally change up character clothing, or just stick with the sparse clothing options available right now.
I'd honestly prefer to give the game a total eastern fantasy feel and the style of dress is very important to that aspect.
This is also something I can't change once it's done -- meaning going forward, this choice affects the rest of the game's development in many aspects (largely visual).
Also, fair warning -- things could change in the future, it's possible that I will / could generate enough support to begin having outfits specifically made for the project (that would be ideal, but also pretty costly).
But for now, I'd like your input.
