The TRUE winner for November is...

Hana Yurikawa by a single vote! Seeing as how much of a foodie this gal is, it only seems fitting that she has a fun little feast~ (though Miko might not find it so fun). I would do a little Thanksgiving piece with her, but seeing as how she's Japanese and all, that wouldn't exactly work well, heh.

Ok, so plan going forward! I'll aim to have the Hana fic ready to post on the last day of the month. And as planned, this fic will be Patreon exclusive. I'll still be following the one-fic-a-week plan for the time-exclusive fics as well, so don't worry; there'll still be a Thanksgiving dinner for a certain pair on the 26th~.

And for the Beatrix fans, I'll work on plotting out a fic for her sometime in December, so look forward to that as well!

Damn, a belly-stuffing holiday that ALSO celebrates laborers? That blows American Thanksgiving way outta the water lol

I never knew about that. Cool! I'll consider this while drafting up the Hana fic, but no promises~

It is true that American Thanksgiving is not in Japan. But! There is a holiday called "Kinrou Kansha no Hi" ("Labor Thanksgiving Day") in Japan. It's held on the 23rd of November (unless that day is a Sunday; in which case, it is moved to the nearest Monday). It is meant to celebrate laborers, production, and giving gratitude to others. It used to be an autumn festival called Niinamesai that celebrated the harvest of that season. It was changed in 1948 to Kinrou Kansha no Hi to expand the celebration to workers in general. While Labor Thanksgiving dinners amongst families seem to be typically modest, there are places in cities that serve meals more suited for a US-style Thanksgiving dinner. So, if Hana were to want to try a US-style Thanksgiving (or two), she may very well have that chance!
