2024-08-01 14:57:03 +0000 UTCGregory's arm was "broken" in the show. The balloon episode, he climbed up somewhere high in his house and fell. They are in the drawing room with Benedict when he asks him, did you even get a glimpse of the balloon, then Gregory says he didn't see anything.

2024-06-26 15:47:18 +0000 UTCDefinitely agree Eloise has never been a particularly good friend to either Penelope or Cressida (at least from what we've seen) but I really have to give Cressida the point for oblivious selfishness in the latter half. She wasn't invited to Polin's engagement party. She crashes the party and spends the entire time trying to talk to Eloise about her problems. Meanwhile Eloise is at a family event and having to confront the engagement of her brother and ex-best friend. Of course she was going to be distracted. Cressida didn't even consider that it wasn't the time/place to get Eloise's attention. I suppose it was inevitable though, it was always a friendship of convenience not affection.

Showing her in full, showing her BEING loved, being appreciated as she is and seen as beautiful is so nice for women/people who look like her. I'm not a huge fan of nudity in movies/tv but I'm grateful for this. She's beautiful and deserves love, character and actress alike <3

I’m assuming, in her head, she feels so betrayed by Penelope’s previous actions and learnt what she’s capable of and if she’s capable of betrayal then she’d doubt other aspects of her and their friendship for sure. It comes off as trivial but it is somewhat understandable I think

Poor Anthony & Kate 😅 I get the sense Kate was feeling overwhelmed w all the family events and doing her best. She only ever had her mom & Edwina before, and now she has a whole passel of siblings who are wayyy louder than Edwina! She needed some breathing room before she had to start dealing w the barrage of loving-but-endless advice & questions pregnant women always deal with. And then in her relief of the engagement party going well, it was easier to share <3 Kate steals every scene she’s in tbh. I’m guessing Eloise left after that whole scene was caused. There’s a deleted part of the scene on the dance floor where Eloise comes up to Colin to talk to him as Pen is running away from him (they show them shooting it in some of the behind the scenes footage), and it seems like he tries to brush her off, but they might say a few things to each other before he leaves. So I assume with the whole hubbub and everyone leaving, Eloise probably called a carriage and left too. Maybe hers had time to get ahead of Pen’s because no one ran after it and made it stop 😂.

She talks a lot about herself and her problems, but when Cressida tries to talk to her about hers, she either ignores her, walks away or finds a way to make the whole conversation about herself again. Cressida's actions against the Bridgerton family in the next episodes happen simply because Eloise neglects their friendship to go mess with Penelope again. She feels desperate, lonely and ignored, so she attacks. Penelope has been talking to Eloise about Colin since season 1; she talked about writing him letters and interacted with him in front of Eloise a million times, and somehow she (El) completely failed to see how hard her bff was crushing on her brother. She doesn't know how to listen to her friends. I wouldn't even qualify their relationship as a friendship. It's too one-sided. Eloise is always just looking for somebody to vent about her ideas and her problems.

2024-06-20 17:27:05 +0000 UTCI love the Fran/John autistic/neuro-spicy coding this season 😍 it's so relatable to me wrt to my autism/adhd lol. The way Eloise and Cressida kinda implode... Cressida feels similarly unseen as Penelope, but where Pen has other attributes and tries to do the right thing (even if badly like w Eloise in Whisteldown), Cressida immediately responds with selfishness and often cruelty. I think the parallel and how it plays out is interesting... but as someone w a lot of child trauma re:bullying... I struggle to give a hoot wrt Cressida Anyway, uhm, not sure i interpreted the statement correctly (thx autism) but Kate Sharma (who, imho, wins best dressed this season) is Indian not black, so the Bridgertons do, uh, vary... sort of. Fun fact, only 2% of the world is ginger, like Penelope... and my husband 😄 and yes, that is a very very tender sex scene and imho a good example of a first time with someone who cares. Beautiful. And Nicola Coughlan was right, she does have perfect breasts 😂😂😂 ...sorry for the long comment 😅 (insert "I just have a lot of feelings" from mean girls GIF)

I actually think I love this season so much because it’s not like the other seasons. I didn’t enjoy the first two seasons of Bridgerton, I much prefer your reactions to the show itself and rewatch them a lot, but there’s something sweet and honest about season 3. It’s not dramatic in the way that Shonda’s shows usually are, but I get that I’m a minority in that opinion.

I know this season has been divisive and think much of that has been because of ship wars. Personally, this season was one of if not my favorite but I realize that different couples resonate more with different couples. I hope you don’t let the naysayers and know it alls get to you.
