Sunday thoughts

What is your purpose?
Not just in life but also with prepping, training and where you fit in to this whole community.
I believe its vital to have this foundation laid now and prior to any large event as it is going to be the rock to which you cling to in moral crisis and hardship

He who has a why can bear any how

I believe it will be worth while to discuss this topic this week with my own personal story, I pray it brings hope and inspiration and perhaps show a more personal side to the man behind the mask.

Here for the family ๐Ÿ˜

Keith wong

The survival of my family and friends are my purpose. I feel a duty to do what is necessary for their long term safety and survival. I've got children so I don't have the luxury of just checking out if shit goes sideways or rolling the dice. I spend so much time prepping because I'm a Christian and will not be preying on others for my survival. I don't want to be in a situation of making an immoral choice so my kids can eat. I break my prepping level to a loss of supply chain and WORL situation (to prepare for the worst as I can currently envision it). I look at what are my primary, secondary and then tertiary needs are. Primary needs must be met before moving to the next level, but there needs to be a plan for those comforts to make life easier (and purchase while cheap/available). Guns and tactical equipment are sexy (why many focus on it) while prepping is not. Yes, I place weapons in the primary needs column. My wife and I have been focusing on homesteading methods and buying hand farming equipment. we are learning pioneering ways (farming, food preservation, smokehouse etc) for a grid down scenario, while also investing in wind/solar for the ranch. I'm also learning these primitive skills to be an asset to neighbors around us. The more capable/competent my surrounding neighbors become, the safer we will be. I look at it like hedges of protection surrounding my ranch. I want to get more skilled with comms, walking patrols, setting up Listening Posts and Observation Posts, force on force training/signals/ambush techniques and need to lean on Army/Marine friends in my group. I need to get the group more active (24 of us) and the summers in Texas are a brutal time. I'm rambling...sorry. I think you can only be so prepared and there's going to be curveballs, but you prepare the best you can.
