Hello, I am alive.

Last week's shittery:

Last week was moving week and as expected it was more difficult than expected. Leasing company came in at the last possible second for us to move in to the new place on the last day of my lease at the old place, meaning we had to have everything prepped and ready to get done in a day.

That was met with mixed success and I've had to do a few runs to clean and get the last of my stuff from the old place before the landlord wants to do the walk through, which they fortunately delayed because they're flakey as hell. For the first time that worked to my advantage.

The new company is much more professional, although their process to actually get approved took fucking forever, but they're very responsive with the minor repairs that have needed to be done once they allowed me to start paying them money. Such is life.

Between my day job (which has been heating up) and moving, I've been pulling pretty long days, leaving me able to do little other than shower and head to bed once it's done. I also do not have internet at the new place because of an issue with the prior occupant, who is still paying for internet here, despite not having any equipment and having moved out a while ago. The ISP was not willing to cancel and replace their service, so I am working to get theirs cancelled and mine started up through various avenues, which I am hoping to get done this week. In the meantime I am using a hotspot, but it seems to be working pretty well.

I apologize for the delay and interruptions that have plagued us continually this year. I am hopeful that this marks the last in a series of time-sucking events. Of course, I invite disaster by writing that, but I am still hopeful. My new place also has a dedicated work space where I can isolate, which will hopefully improve my process and reduce distractions. I already feel better, since this space is much nicer overall.

Hello and welcome. Once again, I apologize for the available advance chapters not matching what is advertised by the tiers. This year has been one of the most challenging and stressful of my life. Each time I got caught up, some emergency or health issue arrived to knock me back a week or two. However, everything that is getting resolved has left me in a better situation overall.

Regardless, if you feel that you paid for something that you did not receive, you are welcome to request a refund, which I will be happy to approve. We will get back up to 14 or more advance chapters eventually, but it will be something that happens over the next few weeks.

I'd love for everyone to stick around, of course, but I also know that many readers sign up for one month to binge the advance chapters and then cancel to move to a different story, potentially with the intent to come back later. I don't want anyone to feel like they've been misled, so I'm hoping that offering the refund will remedy any potential disappointment that these setbacks have caused.

Art Commissions

We've got artists working on some of the commissions, and I am taking slow on those primarily because of cost. The unexpected expenses of having to suddenly move has made my budget a bit tighter. They are in process and will be coming, and I'm not going bankrupt getting them done, so don't worry. It just means I can't bang them all out immediately.

As for round 3 of the Patreon commissions, I have an idea that maybe you folks would enjoy, but maybe not. I don't want to overload you here so I'll be making a separate post for that this week.

I think that's it for the moment. I appreciate everyone being so understanding this year. Chapters should be coming out regularly again moving forward.
