Long-Form Comic Vote

Hey peeps, for the longest time I've been wanting to do more story-driven comics with some NSFW elements and themes of sex and gender. From the feedback I've gotten from people there's two short comic doodles I've worked on previously that had a big impact on them, so I've been cooking with those ideas to turn them into longer, more fleshed out comics. Those would be:

Freshman Femmy

The story of a college freshman unhappy with himself and his body seeks help at his university's recreation center where he meets a student trainer and notorious heart-breaker, who can read between the lines of what the freshmen really wants, even if he can't. Over time the freshman gradually discovers what makes him/her happy and the trainer matures into a more earnest and caring lover.

This one involves more grounded highs and lows of gender euphoria/dysphoria that one experiences while coming to terms with changes in gender identity, how interpersonal relationships can impact those changes, and difficulties in establishing strong and stable romantic relationships while still developing in early adulthood. (Estimated 30-50 pages)

Happy Accidents

College deer dude has always done what's expected of him: sports, parties, women. But he can't shake this feeling of emptiness. However a chance encounter with a magic flower changes this buck into a doe. She's now forced to look at life from a different perspective while dealing with all the physical, emotional, and social changes that come with her new form. Along the way she may also find the sense of self she was looking for. A more fantastical premise with a relatively more grounded fallout from usual TFTG content.

This story involves more explorations of the physical/social changes one experiences after their body changes sex/gender as well as the intersection (Estimated 80-100 pages)

To be honest, right now I'm leaning more towards Freshman Femmy as it's a much smaller scope story that I think would be easier for me to get out there first. However I'm curious what everyone's personal feelings are. If it's clear that Happy Accidents is much more highly favored by people then I'd be happy to give you all what you want regardless.

I'll still be taking a few months to fully flesh out the story/script while working on commissions, printing art books, and vending at cons. I'd then take some time with concept sketches, character sheets, and establishing settings, so this isn't something I'd expect to see pages for for a hot minute.

Anyway, thanks for your time and support!

Comments

Yes! I would definitely still be interested in doing Happy Accidents after. I've actually been constructing the plot and writing scenes for years.

Since it seems like freshman femme is going to win, will you do happy accidents later or afterwards if longform comics do well? as I and so many others would love to see that one too.

Both are incredible options so I'm very much looking forward to that. <3
