Development Log 3: Artifacts!

Hi everyone!

Good news, the next update is coming tomorrow. I'm so excited about a new feature in the game that I wanted to talk about it in a development log.

Currently in the story there's not much reason for the prince to really spend any effort on being a good student and attending their tutelage sessions. It needs some kind of reward for the prince to be really excited about before I feel like he would put in the effort. To solve that very problem, I want to introduce a fun new reward to the game: artifacts!

Avelon is a small but rich kingdom. The king has spent many years on adventures and quests, bringing back all sorts of relics and magical items. These are safely locked away in the Royal Reliquary, tucked under the treasury. The king was never keen on the prince playing around in those magnificent vaults but now that he's away, the council has deemed it a helpful opportunity to bring an artifact under the prince's personal possession, if it entices him focus on his studies.

Every week, if the prince manages to impress the council with his work, he will be allowed to visit the Royal Reliquary and pick out an artifact to keep in their bedroom. Currently, I have three artifacts finished with more coming soon. These artifacts are:

• Magical chalk that can be used to create a teleportation circle. Draw it in two different locations and it allows the prince to teleport between those two places.

• An ancient sword, quick as the wind. The prince can use it to overcome any dangerous situation that turns into a fight if he learns how to use it first.

• An old tome left behind by Godric, the last court wizard. It's said he had it filled with some very raunchy stories... He even used a spell to record moving images on the pages of the book.

The update will also contain a continuation of the excursion together with Morgana into the forest and some scenes where Kathryn continues to get back at you if you peek at her. Also, the game will now be released as an Android app as well! I'm still actively improving on it so let me know if there's anything wrong with it.

This update is a week later than I had originally planned, I know I originally set my target for an update every 2 weeks but with how hectic my life currently is I think that goal is a bit too ambitious right now and I am sorry for that. I will still strive for two weeks but sometimes it just won't be possible and I will let you know when there is a delay. I also haven't posted a poll in a while and that's because I wanted to finish the content in the game that is the direct result of the last polls. With this next update it will show how those requests are implemented and after that I will post new polls to get the next focus for the game.

Thank you very much for the support and playing the game, I really appreciate it and I love working on this game. I'm very eager to see the game slowly being developed to such a fun story, I wish I could just instantly pour all my ideas into the game and show you exactly what I have planned so far but unfortunately that's easier said than done.
