When this movie hit a lot of so called 'fans' of the franchise claimed it was 'woke', conveniently forgetting that the franchise was created by George Miller who has directed all the Mad Max movies. And Max has never been a super hero, he is just a normal guy who constantly gets out of things by the skin of his teeth. He is a survivor but not a super man. And Tom Hardy even went to Mel Gibson for his blessing to play the character, which Mel gave gladly.

It's crazy how all of the stunts you see in this movie are completely real. Like full stop real. They actually made all these cars and had stuntmen swaying on poles and jumping car to car at 60-80 mph. Absolute lunacy

This film literally had no script. It was done mostly off storyboards. The story or lack there of is centered around the shaved head lesbian chick and her hood ornament guy who was the lead and is getting replaced by "strong female character" hence the new shit movie coming out its a woman because you know vagina... and now we will have Mad Max movies..with NO Mad Max..makes a lot of sense right?? 😆

Fun fact: Near the end, when there are a bunch of dudes on poles swinging onto the war rig, those were real stunts. Actual people, on moving vehicles, were strapped to poles and swung around like that. It's one of the hardest and most dangerous stunts of this century.

This movie did win 5 or 6 Oscars I believe. I think they did win for Costume and design. It was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director. I loved the reaction guys. And I also love The Might Ducks jersey that Shoshana is wearing …Ducks fly together…lol

I highly recommend the original films as well, Mad Max (1979) is a really solid low budget film showcasing a pre-apocalyptic world going over the origin story of Max. Just don't watch the American dub where they dubbed over all the a Australian actors to give them American accents. Mad Max 2 (1981) better known as Mad Max: The Road Warrior in North America is the first post-apocalyptic film in the series. The film starts by recapping the events of the first film so in theory you can watch Road Warrior as if it's the first film in the series. Most Americans had no idea about Mad Max (1979) as it wasn't the biggest hit in America compared to other places. So most Americans went into Road Warrior thinking it was the first film thanks to the U.S promotional campaign dropping the "Two" in Mad Max 2 only calling it Road Warrior. And finally Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) a film I personally really enjoy with Tina Turner as the main villain. It's a really fun film that alot of people seem to sleep on so I do recommend it. The whole Mad Max trilogy is worth a watch and Fury Road does an amazing job at being a soft reboot.

Holy shit lol. You guys are literally the greatest. Breaking Bad and Mad Max fury road and so much more. Died and went to heaven. A lot of this film was shot with no cgi which is incredible.

And the main girl character was the bad women in the fate of furious, and in the group of the women who furiosa help escape the bad guy in this film was catwomen in the Batman and the other one was Sam’s girlfriend in transformers dark of the moon !!

One of my favorite modern era movies. You guys need to go back further and watch the old Mad Max movies with Mel Gibson. May be a more subtle introduction into this world.
