As I've made some changes to Chapter 4 original script, I've altered certain scenes and removed specific elements to incorporate them into Chapter 5.
The arena is bustling with the addition of several new characters, and I'm creating scenes featuring interactions among many of them simultaneously. However, the next chapter will also introduce more intimate one-on-one scenes before bringing the remaining group together.
In addition to my work on the visual novel, I'm actively exploring the possibility of introducing game elements. While I've previously attempted to implement these elements using Ren'Py, my latest endeavor involves Unreal Engine, which I believe may be the ideal platform for integrating game features into "Arena of Thebes." This engine provides me with greater flexibility in terms of exploring the arena with your chosen character, trying on different outfits, interacting with the environment, and engaging with other characters.

However, adapting all the assets and characters for the game engine will require adjustments, particularly for character models and textures, including hair. Consequently, the prototype will initially feature a smaller number of characters, with the intention of gradually reintroducing them as I develop more complex interactions. Furthermore, I'm considering the addition of unique characters not present in the novel, which will enhance replayable experiences.
As for the story elements of the novel, they might not be fully incorporated into this game prototype, as it represents a distinct storytelling approach. Instead, I am planning to carry over the characters' traits, allowing the story to develop through the interactions you choose.
So for now I'm simultaneously advancing the development of both the visual novel and the game prototype at the same time. I'll keep you updated on my progress and hope to get a first version of the prototype out to you soon.
