thanks so much to good friend Antares for helping me edit the animation. Would appreciate the feedback from readers: did you read the text chat from the video or did you just scroll through the static images? Did it hit different as a video, and should I do more of these?

And yeah I have no control (with the software I used) in adjusting keystroke speed, etc - that would maybe make it more personal/less homogeneous. And yes of course I llllove working with voice actors as well, though there are hurdles there, too. Thanks for the feedback!

2022-03-04 18:08:35 +0000 UTCIt's an interesting addition, but maybe it adds an extra layer of distance instead of making us closer, so I'm still not sure about it. Especially because it's very complex. You got such a good animation with a lot of things going on, and at the same time having to realize that this is a spy software, recording every single key press in real time, is a lot. Also the pacing is maybe too omogenous? not sure. I think you can grab some more rudimental but effective inspiration from erotica voice acting on twitter!
2022-03-04 16:24:16 +0000 UTCOk thanks- I thought it'd be a nice twist. Got the idea from a good friend who started up a full story doing just these text animations, no real prose. There's something in the anticipation, watching the character type and seeing what they have to say, that was kind of exciting to me and I hope that came across here in this GITJ entry.
