You flee the burning village, your eyes stinging with smoke and tears. You grip your wounded arm, cursing yourself for being unable to fight back against the attackers. You don't even know where you're going, just that it's away. By the time you calm down enough to stop and think about what you're doing, you realize that you've run right into a thick swamp, the same one you were always warned never to enter. You turn around, wondering if it would be safer to go back, but you feel a strong set of hands grab you. Before you know it, you're bound up and being carried to an unknown destination.
