My health update (and progress)

I just want to say thank you for your kind words over on Twitter. I really do appreciate the DMs. As you all know I took a mental health break and try to refocus on my life. I’m going to be seeking treatment real soon. Seems to me my day job wants to help, and I’ve accepted their offer.

Still, I am not making as much money as I should, and this platform is not doing anything for me either. I am still going to keep this platform because I put so much into it already, I might as well. I’m convinced that I will never be able to support myself through my writing. It’s just impossible. So right now just doing this for fun and I don’t care who I offend with my material.

Even though I said that I was going to take a mental health break, I’m still working at my day job and dealing with people that I do not like, nor I respect. Hopefully I will get a loan or two so I can get my own place and try to be happy.

As for my progress in the Cross Roads series, it has been steady. One month removed from my mental health break, I started writing again. I spent most of the time just reading, not just my novels but other novels.

I noticed that there were a lot of errors and a lot of continuities that had to be addressed. In the first five novels, I vehemently talked about the past and how it molded and shaped many lives. However that always became somewhat of a plot device instead of something that was tangible.

After the fifth book is finished being published on a Royal Road, I will and that story arc and take the story back five years ago during the events around from October 2009 to January 2010. Between those events it was the “beginning” of World War III and Holy Fire Bombing. Around that time, we get to see inception of Memento Dark, younger versions of the Crucis Sentinels, and many key players that were around that shaped and molded the world that you are reading right now.

I want to say there are new characters on every side, but I want to keep that a secret for now.

I haven’t forgotten about the pole that we did months ago about dressing up our Aethereal Queen…

It’s going to be much later because there are a couple of characters that I would like to introduce and create before the fifth novel concludes, so my time and resources are purely focused on that.

Also, I want to say thank you for the amazing support interception of the first short story that I’ve made that has received acclaim, The Umbra Witch. I’m happy to say that a second short story is done and is going to be published on Royal Road next month.
