If you are still considering any shows AJ, I still recommend Code Geass, Samurai Champloo, or FMA Brotherhood. And for a sleeper pick I recommend Ping Pong. It is very unique but really good.

And it had great characters and an interesting spin on European history. I’ve never been a fan of Anime’s that take place in certain times in history, but it was a great surprise
