Hi!
Here's a quick technical update.
I have spent the last few days on implementing all the necessary building, blending and "special" shaders to Godot that need unique solutions compared to traditional UV-mapping.
I have now all the main shaders ready for building the RtV maps and some of these are even much better (visuals / optimization) than they were in Unity.
On top of this, I added support for one of the "next gen" lighting features which is realtime global illumination (GI). This lighting feature will provide indirect lighting, better shading and more accurate reflections.
Global illumination will be optional / experimental feature, since there's a performance hit, but it should be totally playable (+100fps) for most modern systems even with this lighting option.
You can test the global illumination in the next test build, it will be the first time that GI is added to RtV since in Unity I never implement that (I didn't like Unity's approach).
