Dev Update (22/05/2024)
Added 2024-05-22 00:14:35 +0000 UTCHi!
Just a quick dev update.
The crafting UI is now done and the crafting recipe code implementation is also mostly ready.
It's pretty obvious that I'm going to need bunch of new crafting related items to the game in order to fully utilize this system, but the crafting can still be tested with placeholder recipes when it comes to upcoming dev build.
Related to this "items needed" issue, I will start the Loot Challenge 2.0 early next month, so I can get at least 10-20 new items before the demo. These new items are going to be designed around this crafting system, so there will be bunch of tools, electronics and improvised items etc.
I will showcase the core crafting system functionality probably tonight or tomorrow.

So if what you and the video says is true, that means I'm correct then. Thanks for clarifying

2024-05-22 18:03:55 +0000 UTCI may be misunderstanding what I'm seeing in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovtnjhOKhG0 But it seems that the middle position is auto, and down position is semi. I am no expert, and do not know how this compares with other AK models, and I cannot check against the ingame representation currently.

2024-05-22 12:19:50 +0000 UTCThis will be super interesting. I think one of the core distinguishing features of many hardcore survival games is their specific take on the crafting mechanic. Looking forward to how it feels in RTV. :)

2024-05-22 00:40:48 +0000 UTCSounds really amazing, thanks for your hard work. One thing also about the items, did you thought about the KAR weapon and it's barral function? Since you can change its barrel, you also change its caliber from .223 to .308 with it, and as far as I know that caliber wasn't added with the ammos. So, do you plan on adding the missing ammo or disabling the barrel for the next demo? Because idk how hard/much of a time sink it would be to code that function of changing the caliber with the function, or if you already implemented this.
