Funding a game project is almost always a compromise, where the developer has to give up something, creativity, decision-making power, shares, or in general be responsible to people other than the players.
Patreon is a great opportunity for indie projects like Road to Vostok because the developer has nothing to lose, but the project has a lot to gain.
With Patreon, I am able to hire world-class freelancers, maintain 100% creative control and ability to build the best single-player hardcore survival game out there.

When I found out about your project Antti, it genuinely made me interested immediately. I'm glad to be able to support your work any way I can and I will do my best to manage my spending to maintain the highest level of support for Vostok. I foresee this project succeeding in many ways that other similar games have failed. I truly look forward to seeing this project progress and I eagerly await the public and/or private demos. 2022-08-06 21:51:08 +0000 UTCHappy to be here. I'm an old school FPS player (think Unreal Tournament era), and a post-apocalyptic fiction aficionado. During the early stages of COVID, and looking for something to occupy my time, I grabbed Tarkov. Played for a weekend, and then stopped. I can handle the PVE, but the PVP is just brutal. I'm really looking forward to something single player, but with all the looting/progression/exploration/dystopian aspects that RTV promises to offer. One thing I would suggest is starting an official RTV discord. This would allow more real-time interaction with and between future players, allow us to discuss lore, facilitate voice/video events, etc.
