Dev Update (26/03/2023)
Added 2023-03-25 23:04:56 +0000 UTCHi!
The bug testing phase for Public Demo 1 V2 update is progressing well.
When I started this bug testing phase I managed to wrote down 21 initial bugs that I found, some minor but some where really bad. Currently, I have fixed 17 of those 21 but I have also found couple new ones which are attachment system related (mostly attachment save data / modded weapon stuff).
On top of this, there have been additional improvements on how the shotgun weapon type handles. You can now "tactically" pump the handle while maintaining ADS / canted aiming etc. I also added loading screens to the scene transitions with loading progress bars.
I will continue this bug testing phase next week. I must mention that there's one nasty bug which is water system related and there's no quick fix for that so I might have to allow only going underwater and deactivate swimming / boat physics for this update since it would take multiple days to fix that.
I will update you again next week on how the bug testing is progressing.
ps. I think the weapons feel really nice when considering the current project stage. I tweaked the recoil and weapon sway a bit + all the new sounds, so I think there might be some good first impressions with this and I'm excited to hear your feedback when the demo update is live.

Sounds like things are shaping up! I think that with all of the features being brought to this update, we should get much better replayability out of it which is great for the long term. Can't wait to feel all of the progress in game, i'm very stoked!

2023-03-26 12:45:23 +0000 UTCJust wanted to mention that the cancel isn't the right word here since the feature is already implemented and it's not being removed. It's more about deactivating some elements for testing purposes that would cause possible issues now and activating them back once the feature is more tested with different scenarios, like in water there's probably hundrends of these "edge-cases" that might break the game or physics. For example in that Public Demo 1 and still, I have the following features deactivated even though they are already in the game: - Proning - Breathing Control - Interactive Grass - Dynamic Skybox + Clouds - Procedural Doors By deactivating these "might cause issues" features you can drive focus more towards what's actually important for testing and away from features which don't need feedback yet + you can get the extra bug testing time for those important features to make them feel more polished.

2023-03-26 01:49:10 +0000 UTCExcellent stuff man, and tbh if you need to postpone things due to bug fixing thats the best scenario, seen too many games be brought down by bugs and technical issues and itd be amazing for this not to be one, so seriously take your time my man and squash any bugs you can get! :D
