Drawing from a fan's suggestion, this time I would like to touch on the topic on drugs. A very very prevalent issue within the gay community. At the surface, many drug users would see drugs to be a shortcut for intense emotions to escape from reality, to leave all their troubles behind in an instant. Its just the emotion, how bad could it get?
Drugs promise happy emotions, spiritual moments, where you will start to see things, an escape from the now, but submitting to its power would lead down a cruel end of addiction, mischief and exposure to the risk of infections via unsterilized needles or unsafe sexual practices under its influence.
Most importantly is the destruction of emotions that make you a human being. I've heard stories of people who could only ever feel happiness/sexual enjoyment through the presence of drugs and nothing else. Total reliance.
Addiction is like a voice that speaks in your mind, you would be deluded beyond reason to believe in its power. You would start to feel defensive should someone intervene. Soon you will be speaking in tongues that your friends around you would not understand.
What's good in happiness when it is induced?
