2023-09-16 10:58:03 +0000 UTCI have seen a lot of depictions of the tale of Robin Hood and this one is still the top. To add some enthusiasm to the soundtrack, two things I have in my heart. First one, the Bryan Adams "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" not only playing in the credits, but the keen ear can catch the Michael Kamen instrumental cover during the lady Marian saying to Kevin Costner,,I do it for you" Second one: The Michael Kamen, man behind this awesome soundtrack, is also the man who conducted the San Francisco Orchestra to make the album which connects Heavy Metal and Symphony in the awesomest way possible. Guys, if you didn't hear the Metallica S&M album, you should check it out.

And I know a lot of people get taken out by Kevin Costner not having an accent but I don't think so, Will doesn't have one either and I think I heard Costner was cast a bit later on and he didn't have time to practice the accent and personally I rather him not have it at all then do a very bad one. I love the friendship with him and Morgan Freeman, they had good chemistry together. And after he find out the truth about Will and Robin being brother it makes so much sense why Will hated him so much, you saw his reaction when Robin first tells everyone his name, it was very nice foreshadowing, including when Robin is talking to Marian about his father and how him drove his dad and Will's mom away from each other. But I love how he immediately accepted and embraced him. And for the longest time for me this is what I knew Allen Rickman from, I didn't see Die Hard until much later in life and I thought he was so good, a really great villain. And a fun fact about his cousin, you actually have seen him on the channel before, he played Top Dollar in The Crow, he was the one with the long hair and crazy sister/lover. He has such an awesome voice. Me and my siblings would always quote "at least I didn't use a spoon." Such an awesome line, lol. There's actually a lot of great, memorable lines. And ending it with Sean Connery was perfect, that casting was spot on.

2023-09-08 22:08:59 +0000 UTCI was a big fan of Robin Hood, and actually knew the guy that played Friar Tuck. Saw this in the theaters with my friends for my birthday. Yes, there are issues with this, but Alan Rickman stole the show. And my friends and I kept singing that "There was a rich man from Nottingham, that tried to cross the river..." at the top of our lungs as we left. Some might not like it, but I still love it
