I absolutely love the dynamic that David and Steve have. Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum play off each other so well. It's a shame they don't meet up til the last few minutes of the movie.

This movie works on every level - the music is epic, every character is great (except the POS secretary of Defense), too many great quotes to count, the Speech, Russell Casse with one of the best deaths of all time, the uniting of all mankind is fucking inspiring, and plenty of hilarious moments too. No notes, A+

My mom worked at a movie theater at the time, and though its fairly normal now, in 1996 a movie NEVER had a Thursday a 7 premiere, just Fridays (Or the occasional Wednesday.) But this movie did have a special airing on thursday night. Unheard of at the time. THEN, at the time NO wal mart was 24 hours, but when this was released on VHS, Wal Mart stayed open all night just to sell this at midnight. It was crazy.
