I recommend watching them all if you’re looking for a certified banger that will keep you engaged. All of them are quite mainstream but have every right to be. Some of the greatest horror films to ever come out, in my opinion. This list won’t disappoint.

Still, I wonder if Friday the 13th would provide some decades-long context as it (along side Halloween) provided the template for nearly every slasher film that followed. Maybe Friday the 13th first, and then Cabin in the Woods.

Coherence (2013) is creepy and unnerving Serial Mom (1994) is a comedy/slasher movie The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover (1989) is very beautiful and very, very disturbing Killer Joe (2011) Matthew McConaughey plays a REALLY bad guy
