It's amazing how much more heartfelt this movie felt in comparison to the first, like finding Nemo has its moment; but finding Dory hits so hard. One of my favorite sequels to a movie. π

*sniff* As I mentioned on the Finding Nemo post, this movie means a lot to me.
I had just lost my father a few days prior, and the family had gathered to watch it, as we knew how much he was looking forward to it. When the line came "You won't forget me, will you?" we all started crying.
Now we look at this movie fondly. Great movie, and good memories. So glad you enjoyed it.

I agree with you, the way they took old concepts from the first film and actually fleshed them out was so cool; like the song having a far deeper meaning and purpose was beautiful. Overall a solid sequel and I'd argue I actually like it more than the first, loved this movie a ton and we did watch the ending credit scene! :)

This is probably my favorite Pixar sequel, I think it's just as good as the first. It is so well done, I really appreciated they took Dory's memory loss and made it a really disability, for the most part in the first film it was played for laughs and most people just thought it was a joke about how fish have small memories but here they took it seriously and treated it as such. I love the look of the film any time she had an anxiety attack, again it felt real. I have never had one but I've heard other people say it feels exactly like that. They did a really great job tying in the first film, how they took a silly song like Keep Swimming and really made it important and mean so much more. I love the new characters, Hank especially. It was so cool the way he would camouflage and it was fun trying to find him. And baby Dory was so cute, I think everyone went out and bought a plush of it, same with the otters, lol. And I wish that place really existed, we don't have anything like that near me, I love the idea that they release and they aren't just catching and keeping the animals, like lets say Seaworld for example. I would go back because there is an ending credits scene and it's pretty funny, I won't spoil it but they reference something from the first film and it's pretty satisfying. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!
