oh. my. GOSH. I knew I didn't want to watch it and should have seriously given more thought to watching it while having a terrible cold. Seriously. I couldn't breathe. It was terrifying.

2024-02-16 02:23:10 +0000 UTCIt's actually kind of crazy to think that this film came out the same year as Mean Girls, The Notebook came out in June and Mean Girls in April, she doesn't look at all like the same person, lol. Such completely different roles. I'm pretty sure too that her hair in Mean Girls was a wig, so it's possible she had to hide her real hair for this film.

How awkward to act romantic with someone you donβt like, but they did end up dating for a couple years after the movie came out. Not sure if you realized that Rachel McAdams was also in Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan. She played the Queen mean girl.

2024-02-14 01:42:14 +0000 UTCThe performances in this are really good, not just from Ryan and Rachel but also from Joan Allen, Gena Rowlands, James Garner, James Marsden, it's one of the few times that I really felt like the older versions of the characters were them. And I also really liked that they did not make Lon a jerk, he was a good guy which we could see why it was hard for Allie to choose. But poor James Marsden always plays the other guy and he's also always very likable. But I will say this is a guilty pleasure for me, this movie is quite problematic, lol. Romanticizing the constant fighting was odd, not to mention her hitting him and it being okay. The dialog is also very cheesy, sometimes you can literally see it killing Ryan to say these lines, lol. But their chemistry is really good, I think it helped with the fact they did not get along while filming but they did end up dating for a while so they obviously ended up getting along, lol. I do appreciate you guys giving it a chance! I hope you will do more romantic comedies in the future!
