New Vegas takes place in 2281, and the show in 2296, so it's only 15 years. The things that got *those* people upset is that when Lucy is looking at the board in the other Vault, about the NCR, it shows the fall of Shady Sands in 2077 ->>>boom. Shady Sands is mentioned by multiple NPCs in New Vegas, and so these angry nitpickers were mad that they were "ruining canon". I have no problem with Todd Howard's explanation that Shady Sands fell in 2077, but didn't get bombed until after the events of New Vegas. Again, that contradicts the canon that you can have with some of the endings of New Vegas; It's still a silly thing to get mad about.

The characters we meet don't really have any affiliation with New Vegas (that we are aware of) except Hank and the other occupants of Vault 31 which we learn at the very end and even then - it's only an assumption because Hank being an Overseer for Vault-Tec and is heading for what we think is their leader or at least an affiliate of the master plan. Players of the games of course know New Vegas was the home of Mr. House, who was pictured in the last episode at the Vault-Tec meeting. What happened to him or New Vegas since then is anybody's guess! :) And I CAN'T WAIT!!
