I feel like a villain who's truly remorseful and devastating would have been a lot more interesting, having another villain who's special thing is just being smart and using tech was kind of lame; even though I did enjoy the movie I feel like it needed something more intense.

Don't get me wrong, I like the first film but I find the first half to be kind of boring and I get that was the point but for me the film doesn't really pick up until they have to go save Bob and the kids finally get to really use their powers. I think this one has better animation, action and comedy. The two scenes that had be bawling with laughter was the racoon fight and Violet with the water, especially how much she is clearly in pain, lol. Everything with Jack Jack was so good and I'm glad the family finally got to see it and I thought it was sweet how both kids were so excited about it. And I love that they switched roles, he was the stay at home parent and she was the working mom. It was so sweet and sad how much Jack Jack clearly missed her, he was on a mission to find her and he kept calling out to her practically the whole time on the ship. I liked too that it was the kids that had to save the parents. The fact that you wouldn't have known it took about 14 years to make a sequel was very impressive, usually when films do that you can sense how long it's been, but not this one. The only weak part about this film is the villain, I saw it coming pretty much the moment they first introduced her. She clearly was trying to drive a wedge between Bob and Helen, it was very obvious. And it didn't help either that by the point this film came out we had seen quite a few films have the surprise villain, it got old after a while. Sometimes it worked and made sense for that specific film, but I don't think they needed to do that in this one. I miss villains that are just bad from the start or aren't even a complex villain. Let's get villains that are bad just to be bad.
