I find working with props, whether it be costume pieces I remove, chairs, pepper mills, or giant Jason masks used as “fans“ with removable machetes as handles, requires experimentation to figure out how to best put them to use. I built this table/bench thing for a disaster of a duet (my collaborator and I turned out to be a poor match on nearly every level), and it’s been in storage ever since. I thought I’d see if I could put it to new use, and this is my first run at figuring out what I can do with it on camera. I definitely learned that certain poses lead to some bizarre foreshortening... I suspect I’ll pull it out again in the not too distance future to figure out some better angles!
