Basic Foam Armor How Tos

Its simple.
Need:
Craft foam/EVA foam
Heat gun (for shaping and forming)
Contact cement
Hot glue
Scissors
plati dip
Color paint you wish armor to be (I use spray paint)
Draw an outline fit to the body part you wish to place it, cute and use the heat gun until you see the foam pores disappear
wrap it to the area and continue to shape to how you wish for it to be.
For detail work make multiple pieces based off how your armor look, like seen here I added a top layer for definition while the bottom layer will be attached to my leg.
I used Velcro to attach each piece (Also bought a separate pair of leggings for this costume and sewed Velcro to there as well (this was for my costume, so it's not needed if you do not wish for it to be)
I then go over my armor pieces with plasti dip which helps the paint to stick and look more natural.
THEN gold and it was finished like the above photo .
