It seems Frieren thought she could hold it long enough.
She trusted herself too much and put Fern in harms way.

Thats pretty spot on for the story I had planned for this scenario!! :3
And the spell not working because of the wolf coming out is so good x3

Love this. Would love another tf in the future of both of them or like them forgetting its a full moon during the mage exam and turning in a room full of people.

Obviously this is your cannon, but looking at the scene it feels like Fern was supposed to preform a ritual to cure Friernan of the curse but to make it work Fern had to preform it perfectly and Frieren had to hold onto her consciousness and not give in until it was over...from the looks of it someone failed on their end...and now Fern is too doomed to transform into a mindless wolf

Most likely D:
Tho when I made the Fern/Frieren sequence, the headcanon I had was that Fern became Frieren's apprentice because they both had the same affliction so Frieren could help her

Love the strain in her body and the design of the ears.
Almost makes me wonder why elves are depicted with long ears. Maybe because animals have long ears, and it is a way to show their connection to nature.
