Did we bring enough games?

Hello everyone!

In the Cotswolds this weekend for some walks (8/10), Scotch Eggs (9/10), and hanging with friends (6/10).

We have seen chickens, and sheeps and The Traitors finale (I'd die for Alexander, and not just because we're balding in the exact same place), but the highlight has been playing BOARD GAMES into the wee hours. Which of the cardboard beauties pictured above have you played?

Thanks again to everyone for their support, updating my phone and grinning like a dopey hound every 30 minutes

Do people enjoy little life updates like this being on the Β£5 tier, or should they be public? Unclear to me if stuff like that should be free, or just a bit of extra something for paid folk while I'm warming up the content factory. Let me know how you feel x

Did we bring enough games?

Looking at that selection I am only the proud owner of 1, Tinderblox. which of the ones shown should be the 2nd i add?

noxof

2 people had the same idea with 6 nimmt or is there a reason to bring two games :D

Ricky Tee

Love me some Sushi Go, need to add Lovecraft Letters to that pile though me thinks.

Ryan Pascall

Was one of my favourite NRB videos with Jon 🀣

Wayne Amsdon

It's actually so lovely to see you enjoying yourself after the nightmare year you've had. Enjoy the break and looking forward to the first new video with BlampCo!

Wayne Amsdon

Ooh, Trio! Fantastic little game.

Mike Hughey

I love finding people I know in these comment sections xD Hi Liz

BOARDGAMES

GhostCrab

Not played any of these, but I used to love being in a weekly board game club, pre Covid. I could listen to you wax lyrical about board games for hours. Hell, I already have via YouTube. Keep on being you, Adam. You glorious human being 🀘

AndyKurosaki

Yeah, this. So much this.

Liz Dwyer

Lovely stuff

JamesG

One of the best NRB videos is 6nimmt.

JamesG

Life updates should probably be free, but I’m just glad to have you back making content again. My depression misses your wit and charm as sometimes a funny video is all I need for it and I’m sure there are more like me that you’ve helped more than you could ever know. So thanks for not giving up. I hope we can help lift you up as much as at the very least as your humor lifted me when all seemed lost.

Willy Marple

Are we capitalising BOARD GAMES the same way we do KENTA?

GhostCrab

I think we’re all just glad to see you back and that you’re ok. Post whatever the hell you want. Love ya, brother

Andrew Tessier

Patchwork is a regular on our table for me & my partner. We have the Halloween version because that improves gameplay on account of it being spooky.

Pip Mason

I see Coup there in the mix. I’ve only had the opportunity to play it once, but it was a great time.

Jake Samuels

I think the life posts are good tiny teasers and would be perfect for public access. I'm assuming they're not what any of us are paying for, so I'm happy for them to be unrestricted.

Liz Dwyer

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that!

SNetz

Would that make it 12 Nimmt, I wonder?

Simfers

Pretty much in the same boat, saw 6 Nimmt played on NRB and bought it to play with my wife and her parents, the occasion never turned up, and now sadly my wife's mum got sick and passed last April. 6 Nimmt remains unplayed to this day.

Simfers

I come from a card-game-loving family, and I'd been waiting for an opportunity to introduce them to 6 Nimmt ever since I saw it played on NRB. They really enjoyed it! It might join the (already very long) list of family favorites.

SNetz

I've played Coup once, it was fun but I don't have enough people in my group (which is made up of my wife and a friend occasionally). Patchwork, however, is a stone-cold classic and our most played game by several orders of magnitude. It's one of the first two games my wife and I bought together when we were getting into the hobby. As for your life updates, I for one have no issues with them being public if you want them to be. I imagine you have a lot of people who care about you and want to know what you're up to but can't afford to pay for Patreon.

Simfers

2 copies of 6 Nimmt, just in case

Karl Bond

Little life updates, as you put it, definitely seem like the kind of thing you could make public going forward. Honestly it would be a little weird if us Patrons were to try and bogart your basic ability to share information about your life, y'know?

BLB

I think life updates with smatterings of information of what you've played could lure in more paid subscribers... is it subscribers on patreon? Probably Patrons.... yeah those.

Dave Rowson

Life updates are grand Adam. Shooting the shit about board games is what the board game fans want from you.

Eddy

I think, though I am not certain that them nails belong to a certain Master Gracey.

Geoffrey Stanfield

Who is it?

JamesG

I recognize those nails methinks.

Geoffrey Stanfield

I know you love your boardgames, but I would love to see some video game content from you, maybe a few based around WWE25 when that comes out? Or bad wrestling games? Or anything that you'd find fun. I rewatch the Adam vs Adam playlists regularly and if you need a new nemesis for 2K25, I know my way around an xbox pad....

Gareth Saunders

I’ve played 11 of these games. 12 if you count 6 nimmt! twice. Cockroach poker is always fun. Bohnanza is one I really want to play more.

Aviv Dahan

Mate, you could write the contents of a packet of rice and still make it entertaining, so yes, life updates more than welcome.

Gareth Saunders

Feelin good :))

Jeremy A

2 copies of 6 Nimmt? Very devoted!

Willhelm94

Awesome stuff!! πŸ‘

Matt hall

More….more! MMMOOOOOOOOORE! For reals though, its good to see ya bouncing back after a rough 18 months man.

Ryan Jakubek

Oh man, I played The Gang at Thanksgiving for the first time and immediately picked up a copy! It has all but replaced the spot that The Mind previously held for me!

Matthew Beckett

I enjoy the life updates and I know most people on this Patreon love you enough that we'd be happy getting more here! Occasional public updates are always fun as well! Also, for our community here, we could finally bring back the Phenomanerds

Jack Archer

I've played Coup, 6 Nimmt, Can't Stop, Sushi Go and Patchwork out of those and Patchwork is best by far for me, although they are all good. Don't know about the rest. Heard Bohnanza is great.

Eddy

I'm not worried if they're public. I'm not pledging for these life updates (lovely though they are), I'm pledging to help you make the content we crave! πŸ‘πŸ» I do think us 500 or so Day One Patrons should have their own section in the end of video credits though, just an idea πŸ˜‰

Big Pete

Man, I REALLY wanna play Texas Hold It. Looks really fun from whatvive seen, Cyanide And Happiness knocking it out the park again 🀘🏻

RVPMatt123

Better planned than the long weekend I had for my 50th, where I optimistically opted to take a suitcase of 6-8 big games, and possibly an equal number of card games. We might've played a quarter of them. But we had choices, at least!

Simon Brake

I'm still bitter from the final episode of The Traitors last night and yes Alexander is the best! And nice to see you back πŸ™‚

Harriett (Manga Girl)

This post serves as a reminder that β€œOh yeah, Can’t Stop does in fact exist outside the context of Board Game Arenaβ€πŸ˜†

Alex T

I see several German games and im delighted

Colo

I’ve got 4 of these, what the difference between the two version of 6 Nimmt? I have the green one!

MrTof

I've only played Coup, fake fan πŸ˜” The placement of these life-posts might depend on their frequency and t h i c k n e s s but if it's roughly like this, once a month or so(?) they sort of feel like free stuff to welcome someone to the page? I'm not speaking with a lot of authority here, not sure if you can tell

Vinto

I think they should be public personally but that might just be me. Glad to see you're doing well

Hunter Tober-McGivern

There's no such thing as enough. You will play every single game you bring. Even if Kevin gets tired, he will play Coup and he'll enjoy it.

Mikey Ellis

Sushi go is such a fun game, enjoy your weekend!!
