BlampCo Monthly Debrief - July 2025

Howdy ho, employees!

It's time for our monthly, company-wide debrief where we outline how and why we've been disseminating your filthy lucre.

The headline this month is that we've successfully saved enough money to start filming Blood On The Clocktower content! Because the Edinburgh Fringe is a slight wrinkle to our scheduling (as well as August being Adam's Birthday Month, and the prince needs his pampering) we've got our first BOTC shoot penned for the end of August, to drop the first episode of a brand new series DEMON EYES in September!

We're finalising our cast (paying them a good amount each for their time, thanks Patrons) and will also be commissioning a new Intro for it from the wonderful Dan and Tom, who knocked up our BoardRoom and How Adam Would Book graphics.

Merch

Merchandise sales have been going well, thanks so much to everyone who's ordered. To aid in transparency, because we find selling merch a little uncomfortable at times, we've included a breakdown of how much we make from the sales

Then 25% of each sale goes to paying our wonderful designer, Level20Geoff, who also runs the shop for us :)

So on a single standard t-shirt sale BlampCo makes roughly £6.75, so we don't actually earn THAT much on the merch side of things, as we collectively agreed to prioritise the quality of each item over profit margin, but your purchases have definitely helped to save for bigger projects and we're delighted to see you all wear BlampCo logos! Thank you very much!

We're now in the final 48 hours to pick up a Founding Member's shirt, if that's something you're interested in. After that, we'll be shelving it permanently, otherwise you'll never take us seriously as a parent ever again.

We'll be launching new options for merch in Q4, but until then, thanks to everyone who's ordered! ALSO, if you order merch and drop us a lovely message with your order, Adam will send you a personalised thank you video free of charge! He's lovely that way :)

A Brief Pause To Bookings Commissions:

This pause is still in effect. We've got three bookings in the queue - Sami Zayn, Asuka and Shelton Benjamin all need their day in the sun! After that, we'll be reopening the tier again next month!

Thanks so much to the tonnage of you that have commissioned so far. You're Gods Among Worms.

Equipment:

Finally, Teri's Macbook has been fully paid off! Huzzah! We've been paying it off at £500 a month for the past five months and it's finally all squared away, just in time to start shopping for a different, more powerful editing computer, which we've come to realise we'll need if Teri's going to keep editing LONG-form content like Office Bromance or The BoardRoom.

Teri's Macbook will go to Adam so he can do mini-edits, like What Just Happened, or Predictions, if deadlines require. Also, it will now be our permanent livestreaming laptop, as its specs are perfect for what we need.

We couldn't afford 64GB RAM on Mac before but it's now time to upgrade to the BIG BEAST.

Speaking of livestreams, we also bought a copy of Jackbox Party Pack 7, because we've officially finished WWE2K25 MyRise! The gaming livestreams will continue, but we'll be playing a whole bunch of different games in the future - couch co-ops like Overcooked and Unravel, spooky games like Amnesia: The Bunker, and play-along-at-home games like Jackbox, so patrons can join in the action too. What do you want to see us play? Let us know!

Otherwise, we didn't buy anything! Look at us being frugal!

Payroll:

The standard Big Chunk Of Change has been paid out this month, slightly more than usual as we shot The BoardRoom both online and in-person early this month. Many thanks again to Carla, Holly and Jon for shooting in the studio with us! We shot Things In Rings and Ponzi Scheme, the latter of which you lucky folks will be able to watch in August!

We're still saving up to afford another editor to handle The BoardRoom, and hopefully once we have someone whose work we like and trust in place, we can make our BoardRoom shoots and releases slightly more regular than one a month, but that's still a little way off yet.

We also shot an episode of Office Bromance, featuring Adam and Jon playing Fog Of Love. Everyone who's watched it seems to love it, so if you haven't seen it yet, get it down ya!

We also recorded a super-fun watchalong with Ivan, where we navigated through a classic Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book, and got our next episode of A Rad Time in the can. Can't wait for you to hear Viv's run down of her favourite Classic Novel Adaptations and Adam's Top 10 Musicals!

Subscriptions:

Subscriptions are the same as last month - Epidemic Sound, Adobe Suite, Zoom Pro, BoardGameArena, Motion Array, Taurus Insurance, Netflix, and of course, The Pandemonium Institute’s Patreon, which will become VERY important next month...

Grand Total:

Approx. £12k - that's a big drop since last month! We didn't pay any lawyers, we didn't buy much expensive equipment, which means we've been able to put aside the several grand needed to get BOTC off the ground. HIGH FIVES!

Future Plans:

Beyond BOTC, we're also planning a tournament of a certain two-player game (👀), a series that ALSO features two-player games (👀 👀), and some super-special content for Halloween(👀 👀 👀). With our budget as it currently stands, that all looks very much more doable than before! We're also putting aside a healthy nest egg to pay taxes and to plan for rainy days in case of the YouTube apocalypse. Let's hope the YouTube Apocalypse and taxes don't come hand-in-hand.

THANK YOU EVERYONE, WE LOVE YOU

Now, get back to work

Depending on if Adam/Teri have played it (or hopefully forgotten they played it) - I would love to see a playthrough of „The return of the Obra Din“.
