Gardevoir and Lucario share some interesting similarities. One is the protrusion on their chests, and the other is their ability to handle energy balls. I focused on these aspects to depict an intense battle atmosphere where they glare at each other, clash their chest protrusions, and prepare their energy balls.
Since this is my first time drawing Lucario, I started with small sketches to capture its silhouette. Although I didn’t start recording from the beginning, I’m glad I remembered to record halfway through the sketching process! I hope you enjoy seeing the cute ears of Lucario that got cropped out during the composition.
The energy balls were inspired by their Ult moves!
