Hendrickson - Studies

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm amazed at the amount of buff character this show has, which it's very appealing to me and Hendrickson is one of those who got my attention.

It was some time since I've wanted to draw him not only because I think he's very handsome and has a buff body, but also because it was the perfect excuse to put anatomy and drawing big muscles in practice.

I saved some screenshots from some of s1 final episodes. I tried to find shots that were interesting and appealing to me. In fact, I saved many, but I was a bit tight in time so I chose the most appealing to me.

These kind of studies are not just "just copy from a reference" (I didn't trace either), but analazing and trying to comprehend how the body was built, the perspective, lines of action. As you can see, some muscles/anatomy from the original shots looks a bit weird, and that's where the core of this study comes into action: I tried not only translate this character into my style, but also draw his musculature in a way that makes more sense to me and is appealing to my liking.

These studies are so good to practice drawing a different artstyle character into yours and also practice anatomy. I enjoyed drawing this so much!
