The blade of this shortsword glows red when you are within 10 feet of a creature whose challenge rating or character level is greater than your character level. If you make an attack with this sword against that creature, you gain a +2 bonus to the attack and damage rolls for that attack.
This unassuming shortsword has a sharper bite in the hands of an underdog.
