March Illustration Poll!

I struggled a little bit trying to come up with some ideas for this months poll, because I knew I wanted to do something special with my sona (Jessi) since it’s my birthday this month (this week, actually, in a couple days), but nothing was really coming to mind. But then I figured that maybe doing a fantasy-game style illustration centered around the ”Jessi’s Adventures” comic would be kinda perfect!

Unfortunately, since it took me so long to settle on this idea, the scenarios aren’t going to be fleshed out like they normally are when I make these polls, and are going to be more of an ‘overarching concept’. But rest assured that whatever scenario gets picked, I’ll be putting the effort into filling out the accompanying short story!

With that being said, here’s the main concepts I’ve got for you!

Concept 1: Jessi gets hired to help out the local guild’s pub since they’re a little short-handed. Things are going fine at first! Lots of people show up, and even more drinks are sold, but the more alcohol that gets distributed, the more the patrons seem to think that Jess is on the menu as well…

Concept 2: Jessi goes on a monster hunting quest to pick up some crafting materials! The list isn’t very long, and the monsters that drop them are fairly easy to deal with: Giant rat fur, Kobold scales, Slime essence, and Dire wolf fangs. Things seem to take a wrong turn when Jess accidentally stumbles onto a higher-level monster that shouldn’t be there! There’s no chance of Jess winning the fight… but maybe he can catch a pretty penny for their monster-jizz…

Concept 3: Starting out as a low-level adventurer can be pretty tough, especially financially. Many times, while out on jobs or traveling to new places, Jess has camp out in the dangerous wilds if He can’t afford a carriage ride or an inn fee. He’s gotten pretty good at finding safe places to sleep for the night where the roaming low-level monsters can’t find him… however… bandits are a different story. Jess doesn’t have a lot for them to take, but the things he does have, he needs! Maybe they’ll be open to some…. Negotiation…?
