SA: The game. Dev Diary 014 (Summary)

Hello friends, and welcome to October’s Dev Diary 14!

This month’s episode is a little bit short, because most of the work this month has been on visual components; lots to show, but it doesn’t take long for each.

A quick reminder to send in your name if you are eligible to be in the credits, but aren’t listed yet!

This month, a few things have been added to the game: the booth area has a few additions to make things more fun. 

Power Girl has been given more costumes! In this update Sabu has added a nice black lingerie set in black and with little red ribbons and an alternative costume based on another incarnation of her in the anime-styled spinoff comics, including a slight change in her hair style to fit with that costume.

In addition to the uniforms, there’s a new piece of gameplay in place; a damage system! Each time the costume is taken on or off the character, it will become slowly more worn and torn, showing more and more damage each time the costumes are added or removed. All three costumes have been given this ‘damage’ system, so have fun dressing Power Girl up and down. All this is to add to the feeling that the subjects are being used, abused and all to keep us amused. More systems to add to this feel are being planned out as well.

Another thing added this month are new clients; this one’s got a darker shade than others, and is the beginning of other clients being added - female clients, different body types and possibly clothes.

Once again, while it isn’t a long update the dev diary is pretty full of content; with the new release of the latest WIP, enjoy the new content folks!

Thanks for the suggestion! Actually i manage to implement different widow sizes for the game last month, so the new build will probably look better on your monitor now, I will be sending it if a few moments. cheers ^^

You should implement automatic High-DPI scaling for the game, currently the game window is extremely small when I'm playing on my 5k hi-DPI screen, but don't consider this as huge priority, implement more animations, girls and costume are always better.

the thing is, animating isn't really as easy as you think, when the client moves his arm, it reflects on his whole body, his other arm need to find some leaver to hold the subject in place, the position of the hand change, all the subject's and client's body need to adjust to the action. And the animation for pulling the beads out would not be even close to the animation of it going in, you cant just reverse the inserting animation, the result would be clearly fake/poorly done, the momentum change, the facial expression change, its a lot of stuff to consider. Its not impossible to do by any way, its just too much work for to little effect, but I can see how it would look simple when looking from outside the animation process.

Would that not depend on how many body templates you use for the customers' bodies? The effort should be quite minimal with some planning. Right after the customer finishes with the girl you could simply have them pull out and go back to their idle initial position (so basically just reverse the penetration animation used for starting sex, you already have it done). All you'd have to animate then would be the arm going to the inserted anal beads and pulling, since you already have the animation for the beads being pulled out and the customer's body won't need to move. Since I don't know who you've done the animation, I can't say specifically how much it'd be. Is the customer's body separated into parts, or is the entire body+head one large object? If not, then it's just a matter of animating the arm's "object" to move properly on each variant, even easier if you've made all the variants with a template since you could just copy/paste the same process.

Hey there Xplo! thanks for the suggestion! that final animation will have some gameplay mechanic to it, it isn't implemented yet, but it would be like it is today ^^

Unfortunately Its very unlikely that the client will be able to interact with the toys, animating these interactions with just one person and an item is already very complex, animating an interaction with the persons and one item would be just too much work for something that would not add much to the gameplay itself.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that it's really looks promising. I've spotted 2 bugs though. 1. After inserting anal plug and removing it instantly (wanted to see how it looks) the graphics stayed, but the plug appeared again on the table 2. One of the clients was invisible (3rd for Korra, not sure if that's important), but at some hands appeared.

Not just anal beads. Clients should have a chance to interact with EVERYTHING you put on the subject

follow the link to the google drive page, then at the top right theres a button that says "download" after that unzip the file and install. if you dont want to wait for that specific link then whenever he releases a new dev diary he includes the new build in "files shown"

I fear that would only add false depth. I think the automated system is currently good. If you wanted to prolong the finish animation I believe there will a be a "free play" mode added later on for that.

At the final part of the animation when the hart appears, instead of letting it auto filling up for you to ejaculate, why not let the player click and hold the hart until it fills up for the ejaculation. This allows the final part of the animation to play out(which i love) and gives a little more interaction from the players side just like with the whip and dildo. Just a little suggestion. Amazing work

Have you considered having clients who request anal beads pull them out after they finish with the girl? Not all of them have to do it, there could be like a 40% chance for the sake of variety.
