My wife and I both got into it and between the three games I’ve spent well over 1000 hours playing, more so after the second game when she and I could play together. Featuring cute idol characters as a part of the game’s culture was a nice appeal both in general and as a target for a diapered tale. After all, idols and diapers go together like a hand and glove. Despite all my enjoyment of the series I have way too many targets for crinkly tales and all four stories I’ve made were motivated by the days when I still took on commission work. That said, I never wrote a story that I didn’t want to already tell and Crinkle Mari was made with plenty of love. How diapers and ageplay can help people with trauma and the bonds forged through acceptance and care were ideas I wanted to explore and the troubles that Callie suffers through the story of Splatoon 2 gave a good vehicle for that.
