I really like your talking about the parallels between Anya's episode Selfless & this episode. Great insight. Xander and Buffy both biased towards ppl they have had feelings for in the past. Also, as Buffy has said before, If she was any more open minded her brain would fall out lol.

Xander's reaction to Spike doesn't bother me the way it did with Angel, because in this case, he isn't reacting out of jealousy like he was with Angel, but rather out of genuine fear and anger with him. My God, I love this season so much.
